From July 12 to 16, 2025, members of Clusters A and B participated in the 2025 World Congress of the International Political Science Association in Seoul, South Korea.

Yuki Mikiya (in the picture) presented a paper titled “Bureaucratic Incentives in Authoritarian Diplomacy? Observations from China’s “Wolf War” Diplomacy, co-authored with other members of Cluster A (Yuko Kasuya, Yasutomo Kimura, Kota Mori, Mitsuo Yoshida).

Tetsuro Kobayashi presented a paper titled “Political Polarization and
Anti-Democratic Attitudes in Asia,” co-authored with Yuko Kasuya,Hirofumi Miwa, Ikuma Ogura, Tetsuro Kobayashi,Han Il Chang,Yi-ting Wang,Sherly Haristya, and Ling Liu.
