Ikuma Ogura (Cluster B) presented a paper titled Lingua Franca of Ideology? Common and Country-Specific Measures of Operational and Symbolic Ideology in Asian and Western Countries at the plenary roundtable of the Japanese Association of Electoral Studies annual meeting held on May 8, 2025. This paper, written by Ikuma Ogura, Hirofumi Miwa, and Yuko Kasuya, addresses the importance of using country-specific ideological measures through original survey research conducted in India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, UK, and the US in 2024.
